Hi, I'm Chris Bostwick a.k.a Chris B a.k.a Crispy. I'm a tattoo artist and the owner of Crispy Tattoo — my own tattoo shop in Mount Vernon, Iowa, built around one straightforward idea: GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT and make work that lasts.

I've been tattooing for 4.5 years with a focus on American Traditional and bold custom work. Opening my own shop was the natural next step — a space I could build from the ground up with the right atmosphere, the right process, and no shortcuts.

I love giving folks tattoos they actually want, and in the style they love.

Every design is drawn custom for each client. I also have walls full of tattoo flash for you to pick from and or get inspiration for your next idea! I want to build something that actually means something to you and fits your body well. That takes a real conversation, some trust, and a willingness to let the design breathe.

Crispy Tattoo is located in at 201 1st Street NW, Mount Vernon, Iowa 52314 — a short drive from Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Walk-ins welcome Tuesday through Saturday, 10–6pm.
